Kevin Taylor (General Manager - Bell Bay Aluminium)

Kevin commenced as General Manager Bell Bay Aluminium in April 2018. Kevin has close to 30 years' experience with the business, forging a career that started in 1990 as a Carbon Crew Leader at New Zealand's Aluminium Smelter, progressing through a variety of roles including Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager at Bell Bay Aluminium, Site Operations Manager at Boyne Smelters Limited in Queensland and most recently General Manager HSE for Rio Tinto's Pacific Operations business. 




With nearly 20 years' experience in the aluminium business, Stew has forged a career beginning in 1996 as a research engineer at New Zealand's Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) before progressing through a variety of operational roles to ultimately lead Pacific Aluminium's business improvement and technology area for Australia and New Zealand.  After spending the past three years in Tanzania with Acacia Mining, most recently as General Manager of the Buzwagi Gold Mine in Tanzania, Stew and his family are pleased to return to family and friends in Invercargill to take up the role of Site General Manager at NZAS.


Joe commenced as General Manager BSL in 2012. For the past 14 years Joe held a number of management roles at BSL, including Operations Manager, Manager Metal Products, Manager Carbon and Manager Engineering Services. During this time, Joe supported BSL to achieve its best ever safety performance, as well as improvements in operational efficiency and quality. He has operations and maintenance leadership experience in mining, mineral processing and manufacturing.



Matt howell (Chief Executive Officer - Tomago Aluminium)

Matt commenced as CEO of Tomago Aluminium in September 2013. He has close to 30 years’ experience in the smelting industry including a Group General Manager role for Nyrstar which saw him  responsible for six primary smelters in Australia, USA, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. At Tomago, Matt oversees production of 580,000 tonnes of aluminium every year, which is 25% of Australia's primary aluminium. Tomago aluminium is an independently managed joint venture.



Chuck Mason (General Manager - NRG, Gladstone Power Station)

Chuck was appointed to the role of General Manager in August 2018.
